Bank of America pulled Equifax when I applied yesterday. I live in Kansas. My application was declined due to my Ch. 7 BK from 4-99. I am going to PFB them to reconsider since I have several accounts in good standing and have no negative information on my credit reports except for my Ch. 7 BK. I thought I would share my experience, since everything I had read on here and on whopulledmycredit at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/whopulledmycredit/ listed BofA as using Transunion 100% of the time.

BofA will consider after 7 years post BK, but you have to PFB for reconsideration.

Were you applying for a credit card, or just a bank account? I am considering opening a bank account, but I understand they also pull your CR for that. I am just 3 months out of discharge.

THEY DON'T HAVE TO PULL A "HARD" FOR CHECKING/SAVINGS...

There is no law that make them...

ASK FIRST IF THEY PULL...if they do...RUN...RUN LIKE THE WIND...but there is another bank across the street and one down the block...
