Will BOA approve someone for a secured card if they had a BOA card included in a bankruptcy in the past?

Aware that you cannot receive a BOA card with a bk showing up on report so have to wait a while longer before it drops. But once it drops, will they allow me to have one?

i would guess that after the bk drops from your credit report (7-10years) that they will let you get a card if you have good scores. otherwise if you filed bk with them before, you should probably try for a subprime card especially if it hasnt been too long since the bk.

When the BK drops, your app will probably fly through. I had a BK and was declined with BOA just about 7 mo ago. I got the BK off my TU report and reapplied. It went through with no problem. Apparently they don't keep very detailed historical records. Worth a try

    Ninefiles,

Did you include BOA in your BK though?

No. So I can't say for sure. But I get the impression, from my experiences, that one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. For what its worth
