    bgolden,

I think Silver Card means Classic card. I don't know how to hard to get the gold. I applied for the Platinium Card and they approved at the first time. First time, they took a long time to approve and they sent me a letter for calling them back to verify info. The terms of BofA is depends on your credit history and income. They intially approved me for $5000 with APR 18.9%. They increased my credit limit to $9000 after 2yrs and lowered my APR to 9.9% fixed. I also have BofA Platinium and got approved $6300 with 9.9% fixed APR. Recently I requested credit limit increase and they increased my limit to $10,300. As far as I know you cannot have any negative and any previously charge-off from Bank Of America.
