How liberal is BOA with credit line increases?

I can't get one out of them.

My limit is 6900. I opened the account in March 2000.

I have maxed out the account (through balance transfers) and paid it off a few times (I think it was 3). I just did another balance transfer, and will have it paid off in March again (I could pay it now, but I am trying to get them to give me an increase, so I figured I should pay them a little interest).

They won't review a new account for an increase until it's 9 months old.

That's the story I got - 9 months for review.

It seems that the computer and scoring model makes the decision - the rep doesn't have much lee-way.

Retention dept. gave me $2500 (on top of an initial $5000 limit) after I griped.
