   My wife and I have two separate credit cards from bank one. We wanted to do a balance transfer to her card at 0% for 12 months from my card but they wouldn't let us do it. Can't we just move the balance to a third card (not affiliated) and then to the 0% card?

   just BT to a card with no balance then ask for a credit refund or bt again.
   
   most banks (except amex) don't get mad if they hold onto several grand of your money for a few days. They are just loaning it back out on float anyways. same principal paypal uses to make all its dough
