Received an offer in the mail for a pretty good rate from Bank One. Does anyone know whether this is a decent company?
They "JACKED" my rate for NO reason to 22.49% on one of my cards... So I "JACKED" them...they lost $72,000+ for 3 accounts!!!
I got a Bank One offer yesterday...0% BT and purchase till November then 9.99% fixed, no fee cash back or rewards. Says pre-selected, then goes on to explain the pre-selected status: Before we finally approve your credit card, we will REVIEW your credit report and the information you provide with your form, to confirm that you CONTINUE to meet these criteria. You may NOT receive this card or you may receive a CLASSIC card instead of a platinum card with a credit line of less than $5000. I may try this after I pay down some balances, but I got a feeling I will just be using the INQ for a $200 classic card -Peace, Dave
7.99% FIXED...AND THEY ASK H/H INCOME... http://www.firstusa.com/cgi-bin/web...asons_38613&page=cont&mkid=6H46&AFFID=j303969
Other than what George and others have written about Bank One's passion to jack up rates. Bank One is the largest bank in Illinois. Can't remember how big they are overall, I think that are in the top 10 in the USA. Recently, Bank One released their financial report, the cc operations turn in a huge profit. Best regards, Mirage
From what I understand Bank One will remove the First USA logo and instead start to use the Bank One logo. One comment from a recent article struck me as being humorus, one of the reasons that the cc operation's profit gains was due to beefed up customer service and addressing consumers issues. Best regards, Mirage
