We have all been suspicious about this "Prestige Platinum Visa." How easy and how long would it take to put up that site and logo? Oh, about 45 minutes to obtain a great credit card list AND exp date on lots of cardholders. With software, it takes maybe 30 minutes to create that EXACT site! What about the card? When I got my Nextcard, I thought it would be neat to upload my own design - which they allow. Nextcard prints it on the card. I thought the old BLUE/GOLD stripes (the antique Bankamericard logo) would be great on my Nextcard. I clicked on a search engine - typed in Bankamericard - found a historical site with an actual picture of the Bankamericard Card in full color. I downloaded it, tweaked with scanner, and started to upload to Nextcard for printing. Another 15 minutes. TOTAL for scam site with card? 45 minutes! BUT, Nextcard does not allow advertisements Prestige Visa also could binifit from spellcheck! AGAIN - why the need for a current cc #? Because they want to compile a list of current credit cards that are active. SCAM SCAM SCAM! Saar - I will bet that the Prestige Platinum is not connected with that banksite we viewed. Later Dogman PS I still think that a "Classic Bankamericard" would be hotter than Platinum if someone brought it back! Can you imagine handing one of those to a clerk? NICE!
I think someone might also "binifit" from some jail time. I would love one of those classic Bankamericards.

Re: BANKAMERICARD LOGO / HISTORY Just got a response from Visa. The matter is being handled by their Fraud Control Unit now. I sent some "test" emails to them, none were responded to of course. Hopefully not too many people got duped into this. If you did -- I'd put a fraud watch on your credit reports: 1) Contact each individual bureau's fraud unit- Equifax at 800-685-1111; Experian at 800-682-7654; and Trans Union at 800-916-8800 2) Tell them what happened - that key information (SSN, account #s, mother's maiden name, etc.) was disclosed to a suspect party 3) Request that a statement be added to each of your reports - "VERIFY IDENTITY WITH PHOTO ID 4) See if any new inquiries have been made Luckily you won't be out $$ if anything bad happens- just time & trouble. Re: BANKAMERICARD LOGO / HISTORY You guys are really too much! BTW my first Visa card looked like that antiquated blue, white, and gold card. It was in 1983 and was a First Card (now known as FUSA). I ended up with two of them (the other in 85 when the first expired). I knew I should have saved the darned card, but cut it up in 88 when I closed the account. LOL Dog, I think you should do it. Very retro, very in. Never had the old looking Mastercard, though.
