I received an invite to apply for this product. It's a Mastercard with prescription savings benefits.

Anyone currently has this card or even heard of it? Is this a good company? Any info regarding would be appreciated.

    Thanks

what a complete waste of time we had the card and the most we ever were able to recieve with the "PLATINUM" card was $700.00 and don't ask for an increase, they will close the card, ok I'm kidding, but the increase won't happen ! STINGY !!!!!!!!!!

This is actually the very first card I got prior to my credit repair, my experience with them has been good.

Pro's: Very very nice customer service, reports on time to all 3 CRA's

Con's: There fee's are abit higher than others, and completely agree on the credit increases they are abit stingy about that.

If you are able to get citibank or cap one I'd recommend going to them but if your credit does not qualify you for that and just starting on your journey to credit repair you might consider taking on Action Card, if your good on your payments for the first 6-12 months they prob waive there fee's as they did to me you just have to ask for a account manager to approve it and they are pretty nice about that.

Other than that this card is strictly for people with pretty damaged credit, this company is not very big I think, that may well be the reason why they are pretty stingy on the increases but who knows GL.

    Thanks for the response.

Imckenzie - Did you keep your account with them?

Kinetix - Were you able to receive a better limit?

I may send in the application, if I thought they would give a limit over 1k.

I however really don't need this card, as I have Chase and BofA, but would like a extra card with an additional limit since I just purchased a new house.

This card isn't as bad as Cross Country Bank or Orchard...or are they?

No we canceled the card, they are not BAD at all they are just stingy.

We only canceled the card after they would not increase the limit after we asked for the 50th time and then we got the 2 citi cards and we firgured we didn't need it anymore. I tell you it's not a bad looking card at all and it's great for small purhases for the new house, I would personally get it if you have some bigger cards, just don't expect any increases !

The terms on this card are lousy.

High annual fee, high interest rate.

The prescription thing is interesting, but given the annual fee, you could just buy a prescription discount plan privately.

I'm not sure if this is sub-prime or prime. It looks a bit better than the normal sub-prime lenders but much worse than prime.

I cancelled this card also. I never had one problem with them. I asked for an increase once, they said no, I cancelled.

I had no high fees and my APR was 17%....better at this point than my Discover Plat at 19.9. My limit was $1500.

Where can I find this card? I searched and only get a bank in FL that doesn't offer cards.

Don't waste your time. They are affiliated with First Premier. What you end up being stuck with are monthly membership fees, high APR, low credit line, and a $10 per month inactivity fee. I'm sure you can do better with Cap One, Household, or even Target Visa. Best of luck to you.

Are you sure they're issued by the same bank? I thought Action card was issued by Bankfirst and First Premier through First Premier Bank.

I have had both of them at one time or another. I cancelled the First Premier. High fees, no increase, etc. My cl was at $600 and they told me that's about as high as it would get.

Action Card by Bankfirst was the exact opposite. After a year, I got a huge cl increase and get one each time I ask. I have a decent interest rate and they have waived all fees associated with the card.

    Their website is http://www.actionbankcard.com/

While they are still a subprime card, I haven't closed them even though I have into "prime" catagory because they were very good to me.

I've been happy with my Platinum Visa card by Bankfirst. I started 2 years ago with a $450 limit. Now the limit is at $2,050. My rate is 16.92 and I pay an annual fee of $36. It used to be billed monthly until I called this month and they lowered from 3.95 a month and dropped the rate by .5 percent. I have asked for most of my increases. Each time about every 3-6 months I'll call and they'll raise by $200 for a $20 fee. Not too terribly bad for a subprime lender. I've paid for about 8 of these increases over the past couple of years. $200 is the most I have gotten. The monthly fee I started with was 7.95 a month. But I've been happy with the card. I am told the cl caps at $3,000 so I have a ways to go before topping out. The online service is good and customer service is friendly. I wish they'd send an invitation for a second card but I've never gotten one. I believe when I first applied there was a 49.00 fee to issue the card but is not bad considering the other offers of first premier and cross country bank. They have close to 2 million cardholders. It is a family owned bank but they are pretty good. They do charge 7.95 to pay over the phone but this is getting to be the same with big lenders too. I have never had a problem with the card.

My Fiance has this card. She accepted a pre approval offer. They tolde her no fees and a credit limit of $2,500. They checked TU. No problems with this comapny. If you call up the 800 number they will tell you right away how much you got approved for. Go for it, Good Luck.

I signed up for one of their pre-approval offers just over a year ago, and started with a basic, low-limit card. I've gotten numerous increases and was upgraded first to silver, and then to platinum. They just sent another pre-approval offer for a second card with a 1k limit. As long as they didn't pull a hard inquiry, I told them was interested. Sure enough, it went through (there's a BIG difference between a "pre-SELECTED" and "pre-APPROVED" offer).

In light of the problems that have been going on with big companies like Providian ("pay your bills way over the minimum on time - but bend over because we like to screw you before we dump your account"), this company has been great to deal with. I would HIGHLY recommend them - and they are NOT part of the First Premier network, as was mentioned earlier.

Sorry for the late response, missed the thread.
My experience with them, at the time due to my derogs on my credit report I was only able to obtain there very basic card which started out with only $300. However they did do frequent CL increases every 3 months based on my paying habits, the increases weren't much if I remember correctly it was only around $150 at a time. On my One year mark with them they sent me a pre-approved offer for there silver card, called in for it, was transfered to an account manager he pulled an account review and was offered a gold card instead, with a $800 increase on my CL, and he also gave me no annual membership fees. About 3 months after that I called in to ask for a reduction on the finance charges which was about 17% at the time, they did another account review and said they can offer me 12.9% and a upgrade to there toy platium, I'm about at the 3 year mark with them coming this Nov., never had a problem with them, they only pulled one hard inquiry when I first applied and no other hards for account reviews. The only other inquires they make are soft and it usually once a month. I'm currently with a CL around 2k and in Nov due for another Increase, this is not in my opinion the best card out there like others stated they do have high fees which will definetly turn some heads but I didn't really care for it as my main goal was to establish a good paying history and to rebuild my credit.

This is just a small summary of my experience with them, they're not the great company if you compare to other larger institutions like capone and so on... but at the time for me at least it was my best option and never had a problem with them. Since you already established credit with a couple of prime lenders already I'd personally wouldn't consider taking on ActionCard at this time and to concentrate on the ones you have.
