SOUNDS GOOD...BUT I CAN'T DO IT!!! They (FIRST USA/BANK ONE) "JACKED" one of our accounts for an UNSPECIFIED reason, SO I "JACKED" THEM (3 accounts $72,000+)

DO YOU HAVE A "LINK" IF SOMEBODY IS INTERESTED???

LET ME SEE...I THINK I'LL TAKE THE 9.99%...THE 7.99% IS TOO LOW!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Ron - Watch out for Bank One (And this is from a former rep).

Ex: Payment due on the 20th - If payment is received on the 21st - LATE! And you get a late fee (As well as losing the intro rate)

Miss it by one day again and you're at 19.99%

Overlimit for one day (Even if you're below the limit when the statement is sent out) - Overlimit fee.

Remember 20/20 doing stories on FirstUSA/Banc One holding payments 3 years ago (FirstUSA was accused of holding payments to make accounts late so they can charge fees) Bank One's stock plummeted after they announced "Due to First USA's aggressive late fee policy, we will not post a profit this quarter"

I can't vouch for whether or not they've learned their lesson, but from the posts here it sounds like they haven't...

Re: BankOne 7.99% fixed Platinum Vi

The rates seem pretty good, but it looks like they use two cycle billing to calculate finance charges like Discover, so you may end up paying a lot more than the 9.9% fixed rate cards that don't use two cycle billing.

Re: BankOne 7.99% fixed Platinum Vi

My wife had a LATE FEE show up on her account...I investigated and the check cleared the bank one week before they said they got the check...long story short...they said "SORRY, computer error, we will credit the account within 24 hours"...

Re: BankOne 7.99% fixed Platinum Vi

    dfwgt,

Thanks for the warning. I usually make on-l;ine payment as soon as the billing cycle ends each month. I have 1 First USA Yahoo! Visa Card for over 2 years and Smart Visa for over a year. I didn't have any problem with them so far. They lowered my Yahoo Visa rate from 13.99% to 10.99%. Recently they sent me two pre-select Free Cash Rewards Platinum Visa card offers from them.EARN 2500 points on the card, the choice of $25 or $25 gift certificate. The rate is 11.74%. I'm thinking to apply for one.
