Pls help! I hope someone can give some direction on this. I filed bk13 a few years ago. I had to include an unsecured acct that I had with my employer. Lawyers said it wouldn't affect my job. Part of my job requires to pull info off their site which I have to log-on with my profile. But now, some of the pages I need to get to are locked out with a message only saying they can't offer (or show) that page due to my bankruptcy. It's a private owned company but I wanted to research if there's a possibility they would grant me a waiver. Or is that just the law now? It does affect me b/c i can't get the info but also i sometimes have co-workers at my desk researching. Any ideas? PLEASE!!!

Call an employment lawyer tomorrow. If these are things you need to do to in order to do your job and they aren't granting you access to them, they may be in violation of something.

just wanted to add a comment about BK and employment - NEVER do business where you work if you can avoid it. my MIL works for the same company i just left and she filed Ch 7 in 2000. She has had numerous credit accounts with this company but at the time she only had a credit card (plus checking and savings). The only way she could keep her job was to reaffirm the debt after bankruptcy. I wish she (and other people i know that work there) would have told me things like this BEFORE i got my job there. Would have saved me two years of headaches! I would never work for a company that isn't good to its employees.

Companies tend to treat their employees and their customers in a similar fashion, whether good or bad.
