    Hi,

Has anyone had any success deleting state tax leins or bankruptcies. If so how did you do it? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Andra

Why is it that anytime I post on this forum no one replys or helps me. I think this is a great forum with lots of information so I don't understand why no one ever bothers to answer my questions! Am I on a black list or something?

    Thanks for nothing,

    Andra

Well, I happen to have had the same problem. I think it's partially a prejudice against posts by unknown people, especially new ones. For me I also didn't choose good titles. Not to mention that volume is high here so posts tend to fall off the first page quickly. Once off the top they seem to get little attention.

I think in your case the reason is because a search of posts would have mostly answered your question. It seems to be a comon thing with message boards that people will shun a post that asks a question which could have been answered by the poster doing more research.

That said, if you do a search on "bankrupcty" or even narrow it down to "removing bankrupcty" you will find plenty of suggestions. Ditto for the tax lien question.

It is my understanding the older the BK and lien, the easier to remove. I hear the BK and lien gets "archived" after a few years. I think a fresh BK or state tax lien is more difficult to remove than an older one because at some point, the record will be archived and is difficult to access.

It seems people have had success dipsuting BK's and liens as "not mine" and the "date of last of activity".

I was able to have a state tax lien removed by TU and EQ..........I said I never owed the state the money (true too). EXP won't budge.....I think they buy the county tape from the recorders where I live.

    Hope this helps......
