Last year I filed chapter 13 bankruptcy. I was able to pay the filing fee in two installments. Due to a misunderstanding on the due date for the second payment it wound up being paid two days late. As a result of this, the judge dismissed my case. I now have a bankruptcy on my credit file and still have these debts. Is there any way to remove this from my file?

    Jeff,
I has a similar situation. Last year, I filed a chapter 13 with the filing fees on payments. After the 1st payment, I decided against it and my case was dismissed. I disputed it with the CRA's last month. So far it has been removed from Equifax. Still waiting on the others. I can't guarantee it'll work, frankly, I'm surprised it has worked so far, but it is worth a shot.

    Good luck,
