I have a 1995 discharged chapter 7 bankruptcy(accurately reported, except no amts listed) on my credit report. To date, it is the ONLY negative item on my report. I thought I would dispute it in "hopes" of them not verifying. Can you believe I contacted the bankruptcy court via telephone, they gave me a telephone number to an automated system, I entered my name..the automated system- gave me the case number, date and all of the details in reference to the bankruptcy! Oh well, so much for that idea! guess i'll have to wait out the remaining 5 years. just an FYI about possibly disputing bankruptcies...
