We filed chapter 7 two yrs ago this May. We were very dumb when it came to the whole thing. So, we were told to put the home in the chapter 7, this would make it better? Well, its still a foreclosure. (Dumb laywers) We went with a credit repair company who got the foreclosure off all our crd reports.
We just applied for a mortgage and was getting a little excited about it, when it dawned on me, that the mortgage company will ask for the chapter 7 paperwork, (with the foreclosure in it) now, it looks like another yr of waiting?
    ANY ideas would be wonderful!!!
    Thanks

Just wondering, why does the mortgage company have to have your papers anyway?

Just curious, were you pre-quailified for the loan? If so did they know you had filed Chapter 7? What is the name of the mortgage company? What's the interest rate? Do you know what your credit score is?

Sorry I can't answer your original question.

    Thanks

Earth mortgage, yes they know we filed. Last time I checked it (the scores) are in the upper 500s, 8.5% rate, all closing costs will be paid by us, and an extra MI payment.

They want to make sure that there were no debts left out of the bankruptcy, that there isn't something out there that could still go to judgement and make it hard for you to pay your mortgage.
