I spoke with a credit repair agency and they were explaining to me how they operate, their success rates etc... Very nice person on the other end of the phone. They charge 395.00 The lady I spoke with also told me that her sister had filed bankruptcy at some point in the past and she was able to have it removed from the credit report. I understand about validation and debt collectors and having those entries possibly removed BUT how do you have a bankruptcy removed?

Short answer is dispute dispute dispute. You get rid of old addresses, you find errors in how it is reporting lots of perseverence.

You can do all this yourself, this is a great site for information and techniques. Nothing the repair agency does is any different then what you can do yourself.

    Dispute the items yourself.

Do you think the credit fix agency is gonna be able to do anything that you can't do legally yourself?
NO! Save the money and do it yourself!

Oh, and btw of course they are gonna be nice to you. Afterall they want that 395.00 from you!

And the older the BK the better. EX deleted both my BKs. TU deleted my BK7 which was 9 yrs old at the time they deleted it. EQ verified every time! :-(

In Aug, the BK7 will age off EQ. The BK13 will age off both EQ and TU in 18 months. I should be absolute prime by then! :)

    Patience and perserverence

If the bankruptcy was dismissed because of just not wanting to go that route, what specific points can be disputed. Just looking for a few specifics to get started.
