What banks in the New York state pulls hard inquiry for opening checking account? Is there some of them that do not check credit prior to open checking account? Iâ??m assuming that no one will pull hard for opening saving account. Thanks. Denny
ASK FIRST..."IF" they pull, take your money and RUN...not too fast...there is a bank across the street and another one down the block... THAT IS AS STUPID AS PULLING CREDIT TO SEE HOW YOU DRIVE!!!!!
OK, I will stay away from Citi. How about Fleet, HSBC, Commerce Bank, Washington Mutual, Wachovia .. Denny
Re: Re: Banks in New York â?? Hard in I can tell you for sure that Citizen's Bank does pull a hard on EQ. I had an account w/them for TEN YEARS and opened an additional checking account to isolate college expenses for my kids. They assured me it would be a soft, since I had an existing account, but they lied. Not sure there's a Citizen's in NY, but they definitely pull. And I've had plenty of assurances and still had hard inquiries, there's no recourse when they are "misinformed". I have had good luck w/getting them removed after the fact. Citizen's sent me a form letter telling me it's their standard policy, bla bla blah... and they deleted the inquiry. Blame the "patriot" act for all this ID crap. I started a thread a while back called "enough", about creating isolating credit-oriented hard inquiries from identity-oriented inquiries and making them soft. Nobody was interested. I was looking for idea on how to make this happen. Pump the thread up if you're interested. http://consumers.creditnet.com/straighttalk/board/showthread.php?s=&threadid=52631
