i recently deleted all of my items on all of the negative items on my credit reports. Now nothing shows me declaring bankruptcy except for the acutal public record. Is there a good way to get that removed? Should I dispute it saying i have no items on my report showing bk? Thanks
Just curious, which chapter? How old was your bk? How did you dispute? What was your reason for dispute with the CRA's? I guess I just figured it couldn't be done! I've heard of people getting their bk off of their public records by disputing case #'s or something specific, but I don't know about if there are no accounts left on your histories. Please share!
LETTER TIME: Dear Glenn King (King of Equifax I guess) Upon recent review of my report, I have discovered that Equifax is reporting a (dismissed, discharged, whatever your case is) bankruptcy. The Fair Credit Reporting Act does not mention any statutes in SECTION 1681c relating to bankruptcy with regards to my particular situation. Any case, civil orotherwise, which is (dismissed, discharged, whatever your case is) no longer exists in the eyes of the law. Your firm has no right to continue to report thsi information as the government has deemed it as nonexistent. Therefore, in accordance with SECTION 1681(a)(5) of the FCRA, I ask that this informatin be removed from my file and upon completion that I receive a copy of this within 7 business days as no investigation is required. Yours Truly IMA NEED SUMCREDIT
It was ch 7 in 10/00. I first disputed with the credit bureaus, and that which came back verified I asked for verification with the creditors. Most did not have verification, so i asked the cust. service and they put in a request to take it off. Just kept doing this over and over again till everything was gone.
