I logged on the MBNA account on-line to pay my bill. I found out that my Barnes & Nobles Platinum Plus MC limit has been increased. They raised my limit from $6500 to $7000 and they raised my limit just three months ago. I just converted this account into Elite Rewards Card yesterday. Ron.
Hello Ron, Congrats to you you are on a roll..... did you read about what happen to me with Umbrellabank...... tell me what you think on this one...... again Congrats to you.... Thx, Kev
Re: Barnees&Nobles MC limit increas kevin, Thanks. I'm sorry to hear what had happened to you. I think that you call them back to track down your application and it got to be somewhere inside the system. Ron.
Re: Barnees&Nobles MC limit increas Hello Ron, I just read Big H posts when he calls to withdraw his app the rep told him that no one is approve for their visa even though though it saids approve already on the screen that's why I feel funny cause their is no submit button to confirm that you accept the products..... this is wrong... this is very misleading info.... according to Big H they will pull another hard inq for thier visa card without telling you..... they will pull soft ones for the checking only but for the visa they will pull a hard one on you.... please let me know what do you think I should do on this one just forget it and close the account or what...... Thx, Kev
Re: Barnees&Nobles MC limit increas kevin, It's a joke. I think that you had better to withdraw the application. I'm glad that I didn't apply for one and their rates is not that great compared to other cards that I have. It looks like a small bank to me. If you get them approved, they will mess with you later such as never received payment, delay posting payment, decrease credit limit etc. Ron.
Re: Barnees&Nobles MC limit increas Hello Ron, I think you are right I think they are pretty small but then again Generations is small as well but they are really nice to work with... anyways I don't appreciate the false approval on the visa card... I was kind of wondering about that...cause there is no submit button on the screen anywhere.... so yeah I will withdraw the app and ask for my deposit back.... I just feel bad that I make a recommedation to others without realizing this I even mention it to you sorry about this Ron.... and they requested a copy of 2 recent utility bills to verify address... I am glad that I did'nt send them any dl, ssn. or any more personal info to them.... this is very close to being a scam.... Thanks for your response.... Thx, Kev
Re: Barnees&Nobles MC limit increas kevin, Go apply for State Farm Bank or Target Visa. I have them for two months and I don't have any problems. I also have Citibank, Bof A and MBNA for years and I didn't run any problems. Once they approved you, you will get the card from mail.Citibank and MBNA have some good rewards card and they also have on-line payment. They posted your payments within two or three days. Ron.
Re: Barnees&Nobles MC limit increas Hello Ron, Speaking of Statefarm I just got approve for the regular card on the 19th of Mar... I got a Target Visa back on Nov of last year.... anyways I already decided to close the umbrellabank account.... their terms are terrible.... I just got a call back from a supervisor and she told me that even though you are apporve online does not necessary mean you are approve on a final stage until their risk dept looks over the info and if needed more additonal info fax over before they actually open the checking, line of credit, or the visa card.... so their approval system is lame.... and that stage takes anywhere from 7 to 10 working days! how lame.... anyways I am glad that you did'nt apply with them... this is a big hassle to go through..... Thx, Kev

I heard that not too many people gets that.... oh by the way do you know how long before Statefarm visa sends the card out once is approve.. I already close my umbrellabank account and told them to send me back the funds... don't need company that play games like that saids you are approve but then actually not or still pending..... Re: Barnees&Nobles MC limit increas Kevin, State Farm Bank sent me the card two weeks after they approved it. They take a long time to sent me the card. They sent the card from Columbus,GA and you will see the rectangular envelope with two windows. I'm glad that you close the umbrella bank account and they are not worth it. Ron.
