I have a Bealls dept store account reporting on TU. This is the last of the last. I opened the account in 2/95, they sent it to collections(internal) and charged it off in 4/97. I owe 77.00, I have not paid them a dime since 97. I pull my TU and it states all the stuff above. I pull my Eloan score and it states as the one factor hurting me is because of an account that has been late in the last two years 90 days 22 times!!! This is where I have my question. On equifax they were reporting R-5 until I started disputing then they changed it to R-9 status. Can they do this? If the account says that it went to chargeoff in 97 and no payments have ever been made since, How can I have been late 22 times in the last two years? Bealls in the last 6 months, has reported so many different things on my account, ie.. 30(0)60(0)90(32) this reported 1-21-2002 30(2)60(6)90(19) this on 2-15-02 30(5)60(2)90(27) this on today Any suggetsions. I told the lady responsible that I would be sueing them if not resolved. Thanks
I think that is your best option at this point...if you go through the dispute/validation process correctly you should have ample evidence. Sue sue sudioooo. -Peace, Dave
