I've been lurking around CN for a month or so. I've also studied zillions of posts and articles at various sites I've seen referenced. I admit to some information overload, but I have a few questions now to which I have found no answers. Your help is greatly appreciated. 1. I've pulled 3 in 1 reports from TrueCredit and PG. I am about to request all reports directly from the CRA's as I understand this is necessary to dispute. On the reports I have, there is no clear DOLA. On TC, it shows "Date Opened" and "Date Reported". On PG is only shows "Date Open". Will the DOLA be made clear on the reports from the CRA's? The Date Reported certainly doesn't reflect anything accurate. 2. In the CN Library it warns not to send disputes more often that every 90 days to prevent being considered frivolous. Does this mean per TL or per CRA (or per TL per CRA)? I can't imagine getting much done in the next year even if the responses have to be paced far out. Opinions? 3. I have references to a "Collection Account" from Midland, dated very recently. Even if this was connected to an older charge account which as been CO, can they enter this collection account with new dates for the same debt? My reading suggests no. Again under the same presumption, can a CO account AND a collection account referring to same be listed concurrently on one report? I'm taking it slowly while I plan, but this report is full of garbage. I feel litigious already. Thank you for your help. I hope to be reporting on my progress soon. Xavernus
2) JAN 2004 TRY 3-5 TL WITH TRANS UNION FEB 2004 TRY 3-5 TL WITH EQUIFAX MARCH 2004 TRY 3-5 TL WITH EXPERIAN THEY HAVE A HAIR TRIGGER FINGER THAT SPITS OUT FRIVIOLOUS IN A 1/2 SECOND (FOR REASON OR NO REASON)
1) On some reports the DOLA can only be inferred from the Date that says "this item will remain until mm/dd/yyyy" or some such verbiage and then subtracting seven years (or ten as the case may be). Sometimes it's more clearly spelled out. You'll just have to look at the reports. 3) I'd start disputing as duplicate account. One or the other should fall off right away. If you're lucky, both will. If they don't, start thinking very litigiously.
Thanks for all the great advice! One follow-up; if a request is rejected as frivolous, how difficult is it to get past that? The determination of this seems to be vague and entirely in the hands of the CRA. I will ask other questions and post TL's separately as suggested. Xavernus

Are you saying that one CRA wil know that you are disputing the same TLs, etc with the other two CRAs? Please elaborate. Thanks! freedomseeker
"IF" you want to do ALL 3 in one day...fine...BUT you should then wait 3 months before "ROUND 2" MOST people want SOMETHING to do every month and SOMETHING POSITIVE TO HAPPEN EVERY MONTH...
