tracy, I believe it's not hard to get it. I would recommend you to STAY AWAY FROM HOUSEHOLD BANK. I personally don't have any kind of experience with them but friends of mine- VERY TRICKY LENDER.
i got a 600 limit yesterday i think my scores in the low 600s with like 20 inquires and my oldest revolving tradeline is only 6 months so its not hard to get.
That's interesting you got one with a 620 score. I applied back in Feb. with a 680 score and no derogs and was denied. I turned around and got Amex a short time later. Go figure.
LKH Best buy does not want you, they want us the low score max out people. Not the close to 700 crowd that they cannot collect interest on. GIGANTIC UPS TO THE BOARD And it is only going to get better
no derogs, just a short history. I dont know who they pulled. The credit lady also got me to sign up for some mastercard but i havent gotten a response yet. She said it was easier to get than the best buy card.
The Best Buy card is issued by Household Bank. On the website they give you the option to apply for the mc at the same time. I did and when I was denied for the Best Buy, I was approved for the gold MC. It was 2 inquiries on Equifax.
The cashier is wrong. The reason for 2 inquiries, as per Household, is that it is 2 different departments that handle the cards. As for fees, I think it depends on which card you get. Annual fees range from 0 - 99. Check here. https://www.esnapw.com/rses/ESnapServlet
