i am trying to re-establish my credit...

my best score is in the low 600's.

is there even a descent un-secured card out there you guys would recomend...

or should i start with a secured?

My daughter who never even had a checking account until last October applied for a couple of unsecured cards. Her problem was she never ever had credit which also contributes to a low score. So I eventually applied for an Orchard Bank card for her with $250 initial deposit. So far so good as she uses it for groceries and pays off the entire balance each month.

You can also try for a Bank of America secured card, or National City Secured card. Sometimes if you belong to a credit union, you can start a small credit card amount there.

i got a citibank illumina card when I had a low 600's fako experian score (they pulled experian in texas)

i dont know how good it is for building credit, but I've gotten several other cards since it, so it mustve helped me.

too bad they recently raised my interest rate though, I will no longer use the thing because of that.

I started out with a chevron 'credit builder' card, then the citibank as far as I remember.
