If you plan on taking things all the way to a possible law suit against the CRA's, certified return receipt mail is the way to go. I prefer the online method, quick and easy, no wait time for snail mail. You can still build a paper trail with the online method. You just have to print everything out. This of course is just my opinion, others will probably feel differently.
