    Hello folks:

I'm attempting to ascertain the best retail card to apply for. I know that the FICO algorithm uses a retail card in its calculations so I am going to attempt to find one.

    Which one is the best?
Which one gives the most lenient increases?

    Your advice is welcome.

P.S. I live in Southern California, so please don't tell me Dillards, Marshall Fields or Winn-Dixie :)

I like Nordstroms. They will negotiate APRs and
    have wonderful customer service.

Thanks, George....I think I may go with Nordstroms. Do they report to all three and how stringent are they?

I have no history with them at all.

    I don't have the card...

When I'm HOME in WHITTIER, I don't have a lot of shopping time...(IT'S ALL FAMILY TIME)...when I'm back in COLORADO...it's WORK TIME...and it seems too far to go to DENVER AREA to just shop...I live 10 min from WORK and the MALL...(NO NORDSTROMS)

I have an Abercrombie & Fitch card that I got about 3 years ago in college. I've had no problems with it and my credit in college was BAD so it can't be that difficult to get <g>.
