AmEx Gold Delta Sky Miles. I play the double miles promotions and rack up 50,000 - 60,000 miles per year or more. $85 annual fee though, but for two RT tickets to Hawaii or Aruba, it's worth it to me. May not be for someone who doesn't do the volume. Not everyone accepts AmEx though, but most major players do. $21K CL. I bought a used truck last fall from a dealer, put it on the AmEx on a double mile promotion, took the grace period, then paid it off the next month with other financing. Cha-ching; free flight. Fun to play the game, and they are pretty liberal with giving out the miles.
Amy my 2 favorites are MBNA QUANTUM with world points the rewards rock and apr is now 8.9 really hard to beat. other is delta plat I usually get 4 or 5 stateside tickets a year all first class. or 2 tickets to hawaii 1st class and 2 to vegas same way don't fly coach cross country. pay off every month and this card is the best to easy to rack up points.
FirstUSA United Mileage Plus Visa. I do a lot of traveling by spells, this makes sure that when I'm not traveling I have activity on my account and my miles never expire. It also helps rack up more miles so my husband can go with me. $60 a year, but no preset spending limit and so many benefits I got an "Owner's Manual" with it. Next best right now is BofA US Airways Dividend Miles Visa for the same reasons, although I don't fly US Airways much any more. I'm applying for a Marriott Rewards Visa, it gives you Marriott Rewards points. They can be used for hotel nights, cruises, airfare, rental car, in other words, a whole vacation. I may cancel the Bof A when I get the Marriott card, since United is my preferred airline and Marriott my preferred hotel (any of their hotels, not just Marriott. You can accumulate and use miles at any Marriott property.)
Okay....first of all since homefront and I are in competition to see who gets quantum FIRST "I hate you" (lol) and second since I have MBNA pp 7500cl and their LOC 2500k with 7.9 fixed after intro, what would you suggest about getting quantum? I was thinking I hate to close to loc when my exp went up 10 pts when it posted. (didn't affect the other two go figure) Secondly, what do you do??
Would there be an advantage to converting my pp to quantum? What kind of rewards? Would I lose my 0% bt and 7.9 ? I guess it's lower since no rewards? What kind of rewards on quantum? I have to have some serious *b* before I apply for delta plat (amex right?) b/c they check eq. Do you know if anyone gets b from pg? EQ cleaned me out and my consumerinfo is taking forever to rack back up.
Re: Re: Best rewards cards? MBNA Amtrak Platinum Plus MC is very good. http://www.amtrakguestrewards.com/ My rate is 9.9%.
