The judgement is discharged in a bk7. So it stays in the credit report for how long 7 years, 10 years or until it is released in the public record. I know bk stays in the CR for 10 years but the judgement itself can stay as long as the records say so even though it cannot be enforced? What is the best way to get released or satisfied in the public record. The creditor can release it but they wiil ask few hundered as attorney's fees. Also if you have a house in your name, it may be hard to refi because the title company can say that there is a unreleased worhtless judgement.
    Any ideas are appreciated.
    thanks

You need to file a motion to vacate with the court based on the fact that the judgment is now void due to being discharged in bankruptcy.

I think, time limit to file a motion is 30 or 60 days after the judgement date.
