The two best (these are the two secured cards I recommend to my clients)

    1) Chase Secured (They used to take anyone who did not have recent delinquencies or a bankruptcy. However, they seem to be moving more towards opening accounts for those who have had no previous credit experience, rather than those with troubled experience.)

    2) Capital One

The WORST, hands-down, no question, absolute, scum-sucking, bottom-feeding, belly-crawling WORST sub-prime credit card company has got to be those lying, thieving predators -- Cross Country Bank.

Worst: Cap1 sends me preapproval for a platinum business credit card. I send it in and they put an inquiry on all 3 credit reports then send me a card with a 300.00 limit.

$300 for a business card???? Tell them to shove it lol.

I applied 3 times for a cap1 card in my quest for credit. Everytime they approved me for $200 dollars. I have since then closed them and have learned not to trust the preapproval offers from cap1. I am just not good enough for them I guess.

I have not charged anything on the card in the 5 months Ive had it and dont plan to in the future. The miniscule limit is ridiculous but to have to burn 3 inquiries for it is really outrageous. No doubt about it Crap one is the absolute worst.

    GEORGE-
That means they all suck because nobody will give me one. Whoever gives me one first will get my vote for best.

    I WAS WORRIED...

There have been some "UNDESIRABLE" people PREACHING their CASH/CHECK "MANTRA".

...this means they BASH credit cards for ALL people, IN ALL CASES.

I personally save MANY MANY $$$$$ using credit cards...(PAY MOST IN FULL, GET CASH BACK, USE TEASER RATES TO MY BENEFIT)...

I started with SHELL OIL, STANDARD OIL, JC PENNEYS, WARDS, MERVYNS...eventually getting MANY REAL "PRE-APPROVED" VISA/MC'S...

At one point ABOUT $200,000 unsecured, UNTIL F.I.C.O. REARED IT'S UGLY HEAD!!!
