Just curious, do valued cardmembers of different banks like Citibank, Chase, MBNA, and others get better loan or mortgage rates when they apply? Does having good "in-house" credit with a certain bank help you get approved for a loan even if you have one small negative on your record?

I would like to find out if you have a loan through one of those companies, does it help in getting a credit card. Chase Manhattan bought my loan. They bought the loan 2 weeks after I closed from my original lender. So I am curious if this will help in qualifying for a Chase card.

    Hi Mike

Yes it will help big time in alittle amount of time with chase. You should wait atleast 12 months worth of on time payments with chase before trying to obtain a chase credit card.Good Luck to you with chase.
