Gah, I hate these. I have an inquiry that just came up on Experian.

I can't find this company in the yellow pages, they don't have a website, the BBB doesn't have them listed.

Does Experian just let anyone with a pulse browse through our info?

Anyone know who these jokers are? :

TIA- I shouldn't be concerned, I know, but it bugs me when I can't find anything on the company.

I think they do furnishings and furniture.

    Oh my goodness, me too!!!!!

It is under the soft inquiry section.

I wonder what they want/are looking for.

Hmmph, at least I'm not alone!

Sometimes I really wonder about these soft inquiries. I have companies so generically named, "Harris Company," "American Lending."

Does any merchant ante up a few beans and get a big, CRA-supplied list of prospects?

    Scary.

When I ask the credit reporters, they say "any company can pull anyones credit at any time for any reason"

what worries me is that with all the identity theft, this is the best way for them to get your info!

BLAH I SAY... this is laziness on the part of the credit reporters.
