Beware of Chases credit insurance

    To all that has a chase credit card account,watch your credit card statements very closely because they are now starting to enroll cardmembers into their credit protection plan without the cardholders approval.I just got my card statement over the labor day weekend,and low,and behold i have been enrolled in to their rip-off plan for free but i didn't consent to that!I would really be pist-off at chase if i was carrying a balance at the time that they illegalley enrolled me but i am glad that i am not revolving a balance at this time.I just cancelled the damn thing just today,so i just wanted to warn all of you to pay attention to all of your credit card statements with every creditor including chase.

    I guess the tactic of bombarding you with mail offers and numerous phone calls just wasn't raking them in, so then now decide to enroll people without their permission, how nice of them:(

    I will keep an eye on my hubby's account, they push this on us all the time, luckily I recently closed my account.

    A card I just got had a "HARD SELL" on that when I comfirmed the reseipt of the last card I got...

    While the card is being activated (as if it wasn't activated the second you put the card number in and it cross-referenced it with the number you are calling from)...BLAH...BLAH...BLAH...press one for yes two for no...ARE YOU SURE...it is only cents per month...

    I myself am getting pretty sick of all the Chase marketing calls. I called them yesterday because I have not received my statemet yet (it was supposedly sent over two weeks ago), and after getting them to send out a new report, I was offered some kind of reward-points-to-purchase-catalog-merchandise deal. To reward me for being a valued Chase Cardmember.

    I said, "I'd rather be rewarded with a higher credit limit and a lower interest rate. Know what I'm saying?" I think the response I got was a deflated "Uh...yeah".

    I'm almost as annoyed by the automated message at the drive thru at Taco Bell, asking me at each visit if I want to try their new Southwest Steak Bowl. (I don't!).
