Re: Bill Bauer radio show (not kidd So far he's only talking about information that we already know. I'd still like to know why he feels the estoppel letter we so openly praise and use, is no good.
Re: Bill Bauer radio show (not kidd I think his intended audience isn't US -- rather, it's people who never before realized that they had any right to defend themselves against bill collectors. As for estoppel, Bill changed his position on that a couple of months ago -- I'll bet you were surprised just now to hear him talking about estoppel at length, lol. Doc
Re: Bill Bauer radio show (not kidd What he is not saying is 99.9% of the employees of a CA have no clue when it comes to the FDCPA or the FCRA, and when they see an estoppel letter ( such as the one we've all used ) with legal references, they usually fold, especially when the debt is small. They don't want to have to "work" to collect on the debt, they just want it. If they see a debtor knows the system, they'll most likely back down and send the account back to the OC.
Re: Bill Bauer radio show (not kidd I hope the DJ doesn't get paid per word each hour...he would have made $1.98 this hour...
Re: Bill Bauer radio show (not kidd So I guess his show will only be 1 hour every Friday night then? Doc, good job Maybe I'll call in next week.
Re: Bill Bauer radio show (not kidd Heck no, George... I was just on national radio. The host, Chris Gerner, is on a couple hundred stations coast to coast plus shortwave. Maybe I'll start selling autographed PsychDoc pictures now. Doc
Re: Bill Bauer radio show (not kidd Nothing to do with credit... #1) Local news...about our 2nd store...(just in the background)...THE "BAD" GUY WAS BEING INTERVIEWED... #2) JERRY'S KIDS check presenter for our little store...
Re: Bill Bauer radio show (not kidd I don't listen to much radio except some ocasional RUSH and did listen to TOM MARTINO all the time...but now I work too much...
Re: Bill Bauer radio show (not kidd George, I would have liked to have seen you present that check to Jerry's kids. I imagine it went something like this: LOCAL EMCEE: Now we have a very special guest to whom we're all grateful. It's GEORGE from George's Little Store. They have two locations to serve you, and George is here with some very good news. George, you take it from here... GEORGE: Thanks, Mr. Emcee! First of all, I would like to relay my own gratitude regarding the good work that you all do with the telethon. I am grateful all the way down to my sockdrawer. LOCAL EMCEE: Sockdrawer! Wow, that's serious! GEORGE: You'd better believe it. Anyway, the employees of George's Little Store raised this wonderful check for you. And they did it in spite of the fact that my wife and I have perfect credit since 1982 but still can't qualify for a lower rate on my American Express Blue card. (Ok, this is going nowhere, lol. Time for me to get some much-needed sleep.) Doc
Re: Bill Bauer radio show (not kidd Bill is so lucky to have a cheerleader like Doc to help propagate his nonsense. Rah Rah Sis Boom Bah! I have better things to do in real life than listen to an old man with a secured Capital One card give other people credit advice. I guess I will come back in a few more months to see if Doc has moved in with his idol... Later.
