The collection that just popped up on my TU report is NCO. I told them there was no way I owed anything on that debt, the lady there actually told me to send them a letter disputing it.

When I asked for the phone# or address of the original company, she wouldn't give it to me. I have no idea who these people are. She asked if I wanted an "itemized statement." I asked what that would prove? They could type anything on a statement and say I owed it. So she said I could dispute it, send a letter.

I will be sending a validation letter. I am glad to hear you've had good results scaring the bejeezus out of them, Bill. I want them to remove it since I don't owe those people anything. Any other advice for me?

Have you seen the first capitulation letter they sent me? It is at http://www.creditwrench.com/works1.html and I've got a whole filing cabinet folder full of more of NCO's funny little capitulation letters people have sent me since.

As the old C&W song goes, "WATERLOO, WATERLOO, EVERYBODY GOT TO MEET THEIR WATERLOO!"

And old Napoleon Bonaparte isn't the only one has met his Waterloo by any stretch of the imagination. Only problem is that some never know when to wake up and die right.

    LOL

US Telcom is one of the largest provider of telecommunications services in the United States. US Telcom is the exclusive provider of telecomunications services in the following centers: Anaheim, Charlotte, Dallas, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Ontario (CA), and San Antonio.

This doesn't really sound as if it applies to you. Make NCO validate. Is is Telcom or Telecom...Telecom ? There used to be a Telecom in Kansas City, but they have since merged with MCI. Did you ever have service thru MCI perhaps? Even if, they can't validate it...Good luck. Hope my research helps you a bit.
