I have 6 bills on my credit, none credit card bills. Utilitys, phone, internet, apartment, doctor bills. Stuff like that. If paid off will my score increase a lot?

It's good to pay off overdue bills, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will improve your credit scores. In fact, they may even get worse. How old are these accounts?

Some years old. N some bout a yr. I pay my car loan on time for the past 2 yrs but my score is stuck at 523. Do I have to pay off the old bills for my score to build? I'm tryna get a home loan before the year is over . Bout to apply for a couple secure cards. Heard those r good. Need advice

Negotiate payment on the old bills in return for removing the negative marks from your credit reports. And make sure the secured cards you apply for report payment history to the CRAs. Use them responsibly for about a year, and you should then be able to upgrade to an unsecured card with better terms and less fees. If you have any questions along the way, please come back and fire them off as needed.
