I just recieved some very dissapointing correspondence from Transunion and Experian yesterday regarding a collection Im disputing.

Transunion sent me ANOTHER "Looks like you're using a third party credit repair organization" letter, AFTER I sent them a response to their first one stating that I didnt use one! Bascially, they just sent me the same thing again, just worded a little differently.

Experian sent me a copy of my credit report with the collection I disputed still there, and a letter starting off with USING THE INFORMATION PROVIDED THE FOLLOWING ITEM WAS NOT FOUND..., and showed that the item in dispute "Remains".

Ahh! Why, why, why. Should I keep pushing them? Im starting to feel like I've hit a brick wall here.

No you haven't. The proper way to dispute to get a removal is to do the 1 2 3 setup.

You send a verify/dispute letter to the OC/CA and then a week or so later you dispute with the CRA.

Always send the letters CMRRR. This way they are sure to violate law by either not disclosing that you are in dispute or by many other means.

You haven't hit a brick wall. Your letter was just another 2 digit code....that's all.

I'm curious..you say these are for collections? Have you verified if the CA is legal to collect in your state and the state they are in?? If not, don't give up the ship yet..Let me know if you need help proceeding to find out.
