My bk-13 was set to fall off in Oct/2003. Checked Credit Expert and the bk-13 is off my CR but I dropped 45 pts on my FICO score. Went from a 705 to 660. Does anybody here have a clue as to what happened? I checked the actual report and that is the only difference. Best regards, Mirage
do any of your line items show anything like "included in chapter 13" or "included in wage earner plan?"
Most likely it was the oldest acct showing on your report and when it was deleted, it shortened your credit history, resulting in lost points. The good news is it's gone and your score will rebound quickly - probably within the next 30 dats. Congrats. Don't sweat it. I'd rather have a 660 without a bk than a 705 with a bk. You'll be fine.
Re: Re: bk-13 dropped so did my FICO Thanks. I took your advice and sent TU an online message. EQ does not allow me to enter text message. Looks like I will have to snail mail that one. Best regards, Mirage
Re: Re: Re: bk-13 dropped so did my FICO Mirage, Befroe the 13 fell off were there any included in accts still showing or only the publiv record itself? Also, my 13 is scheduled to fall off in Nov of this year and it is all I am waiting for. I'm glad to hear that it dropped a bit early for you! Is it off all bureaus?
Re: Re: Re: Re: bk-13 dropped so did my FICO Still have one item left but it's not a negative, I think EX classified it wrong. It's a credit line for my checking account. Bank One closed the account and internally transferred the line to a credit card that is tied to the overdraft account. EXP has it listed as closed/transfered. The Credit Expert summary page shows no negatives but the page where it shows my actual credit report has this transfer as a negative. I tried to disputed but it came back verfied. As for the other two CRAs, nope it's still there. I am going to ask them to delete. Will keep the board posted. Best regards, Mirage
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: bk-13 dropped so did my FICO That "closed/transfered" may be the key. some systems may view this as having been sent to collections. Also .. I've come to believe that there are hidden flags that only the computers see. And that sometimes those flags become stuck. I have no idea how to fix or even begin to find such flags. I'm working on several now myself.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: bk-13 dropped so did my FICO I think you are right. I will call EX directly (if possible) and try to get them to either delete it or change the classification. The strange thing is that the other two CRAs have it listed as a positive. I also agree with LKH and George that as strange as it is losing my oldest entry (the bk-13) caused a time gap in my credit history and that my scores will go back up.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: bk-13 dropped so did my FICO Wow !! I just got a supervisor from TU to find the Date of Last Activity. Most of last week I was trying to get a supervisor on line. Every time that I called in, the person I got couldn't see the DoLA on three of the line items listed on my report. The incorrect DoLA that they listed for two of the accounts was Jan of 2002. I asked each one of the people I talked to if they could see that date in ANY field .. every one said they didn't see any such date. Now today the supervisor tells me the field is named "date of last sale" and all of the other folks should have been able to see it. These folks are a motive for heavy drugs ..
