going crazy here... dola 8/98. bk 12/98. what is the seven years from 8/98 or 12/98? seems like such a simple question.... all work and no play makes jenz not able to read creditnet.
Neither jenz, it is calculated from the commencement of delinquency date -- first time you were late and never current again. Could be well before your BK filing date -- BK filing date is the latest it should be. Sassy
Couldn't have said it better! Before my BK and all related accts fell off, I can tell you that my BK13 file date was 11/96. Most accounts were long past due a almost a full year prior to my filing date. You guessed it...almost all my accounts were gone several months before the filing finally dropped in 10/03. They were gone 7 yrs from their first delinquency date and dropped off like clockwork once that condition was met.
what do you do if the DOLA listed is the bk date - just dispute it? what if you don't know the date, is that something the company just gives up?
Assuming you're talking about a successfully discharged bk13 Jenz. Bk7's are 10 years. Under no circumstances can a drop off date on a TL be after the drop off of the BK. Usually well before that because people default prior to filing. Have you tried attacking the BK itself? ???
background on question (not my account so bear with me on some of the details) *old utility bill (i believe actual DOLA is 1/98) *placed w/collection 3/98 *included in bankruptcy 12/98 CH7 *lists DOLA as 12/98 *bankruptcy isn't even on the report *experian claims to have verified but company says they haven't *requested validation from both CA and OC 12/03 *refuses to validate or remove *worth suing? this is the only negative on the report and is hurting score because of the bk reference
