Have disputed my BKs a few times w/no results. I moved recently and it took a few times back & forth w/EQ to get my address updated. Had to submit proof twice, was ready to send 'em a stool sample... So I decided to dispute my BK once again, now that my old address is gone on all 3 CRs and before it might pop up from some furnisher using the old address. Today, I have only 2 public records - I used to have 3. Sure enough, my BK is gone. My fako went up five points. myFICO says I'm up to 679 - not a big gain. Looking at the negatives, it's got my two public records (tax liens that were recently released, so they're going to stick around until 2008 and 2011) and my IIB w/cap1, comes off in 2008. I wonder if the public records really hit my score that hard? Or perhaps just the IIB tips FICO off? I'm surprised my FICO didn't go up that much, but I'm very, very, very happy to see the BK drop off at least one account.
