Hey guys, I just got my password and userid in the mail yesterday for the PACER system online. I checked for my BK (filed 10/99) to see their details and couldn't find it. I was checking the right court too. I couldn't find it under my last name alone, ssn alone, or even the docket # alone. Does that mean that the CRA's wouldn't be able to verify my BK through the PACER system? Does that mean that if they tried, they wouldn't come up w/ anything either? Would they then physically go to the court house to find the info? My thinking is that they would just Verify it anyway, eventhough they couldn't find it on PACER. I don't have any credit items on my reports that have "incl in bk" either. What do you guys think?

Steven * How would they know what court house to go to for A Bk they don't know exist?
"How would they know what court house to go to for A Bk they don't know exist?" ------- What do you mean? They have it on the credit report. All 3 CRA's have the BK listed. They know it exists b/c it's on the reports. But it's not in the PACER system which is the electronic database they use to check on them when disputed. Before this system was available, the CRA's used to have their agents throughout the US, go directly to the court house to pull it.
Re: Re: BK not on PACER!! thanks lbrown, i think that's what i'll probably do. since they won't be able to find it in the pacer system, i might call the court house to have them pull it aside so that the cra doesn't see it when i dispute.
