I am posting this to give everybody a "heads up" re:Bk reform. The Reform Act includes provisions that will definitely effect the credit repair industry. One of the most glaring one is that any person filing bk must have tried to deal with their debt via credit counseling before they file a bk. So everyone's advice in the past not to go to credit counseling and enter into a plan with them will no longer be valid. There are alot more provisions like this that will effect the consumer...so read the act and post your interpretations of the effects on the consumer on my "bk reform effects" thread. The bk reform act WILL be passed so let's be prepared for it by educating ourselves now! Thanks, clc
PS Here is the site where you can find the version of HR 333 that is being debated right now:http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/D?c107:4:./temp/~c107da6JJz:: You needn't read the entire bill but definitely read the parts that will pertain to consumer debt. thanks, clc
