Due to the lack of interest on this topic I am going to butt out with the above post. I thought that creditnetters wanted to be ahead of the waves but my experience here and on another thread indicates otherwise.

When the bk reform act passes and everyone realizes the impact it has on their credit lives...my email will still be on. Until then thanks for the few responses of gratitude.

    clc18940,

I have been following this thread and I am very interested in your interpretation of the bill. I am not the best at reading legalese and find this thread helps me in seeing what may happen when it goes into effect.

This bill provides corporations with relief and additional powers over consumers and does nothing to address the real issues behind why more Americans continue to file for bankrupty. Most bankruptcies are filed due to unmanagable/unrealistic medical bills. Many are due to credit card debt but the catalyst many times is loss of income. The debate that has played out here so far has been interesting.

Thank you, KK....I was having a bad day today...I will continue with the thread tomorrow and will keep at it until I have explained all the provisions that will effect consumers like you and me.

    I appreciate the atta' boy!

I have not been replying to your posts, since they're over my head in knowledge, so I don't know what I could competently add to them. But I appreciate the efforts you've made to interpret and explain it. Thank you very much for your posts. Please keep them coming!
