Why? Perhaps because they were asked to list all thier accounts? I'm guessing of course. I know I had to list the bank where I had a checking account, though I owed no $$. I suppose that was to prove my lack of assets, though. Why do you ask?

The other was a case of including a life insurance loan in the BK. Why should one have to list things that have nothing to do with them owing someone something? I thought BK was about forgiveness of debt. How can you be forgiven of a debt that you don't have? We listed everything we were getting notices on, that was on our CR and that creditors thought we owed because: 1. Our attorney told us to list everything 2. So that it would just go away (I know...,.,) and stop haunting us. When we filed, we just has to give a list of all accounts - both OC and any CAs and the account numbers along with the amt we believed (or the OC/CA believed) we owed. It was really just a CYA. Shanyl
