Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Blacklisted Americans who can't fly I don't know about you but most folks would be amazed to learn how many of our modern day science and culture was first "invented" by science fiction authors whose mad dreams have since become reality. One of the earlier authors envisioned that a 20 mile long cannon could be used to fire bullets containing men into space. He said that the barrel of the cannon didn't need to be fired straight up but could be fired at a much lower angle so that the projectile would just sort of fall off the earth and onto whatever target it was aimed at. He even predicted the speed at which the projectile would have to be traveling in order to accomplish the feat. He also stated that there would be a very small "window" of time in which the projectile would have to be fired or it would miss it's mark. Heinlien, Asimov and others often stated they believed that new materials could be invented in space that could not be manufactured on earth due to gravity and that they believed that new medicines and medical techniques could be perfected in space that could not be done on earth for the same reasons. The moon rover vehicle they used to gather samples of the moons' crust was also described long before we ever went to the moon. So was the concept of a mother ship that would hover above an uninhabitable planet while a smaller unmanned exploratory vehicle descended to the surface of the planet, did whatever such as gathering samples of dirt, rock, atmospheric elements and whatever. Some of the visionary stuff that was unimaginable back then is now fact of almost every day life.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Blacklisted Americans who can't fly my favourite is brave new world perhaps those fanatics who wanted the information society to evolve faster were the ones responsible for the 9/11 that's something to chew on.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Blacklisted Americans who can't fly A satellite can see in your backyard and tell what brand of lawn mower you use!!! You better not be PICKIN' YOUR NOSE!!! It is supposed to be TOP SECRET... It was leaked out to keep everybody "IN LINE"
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Blacklisted Americans who can't fly yes, 20,000 leagues under the Sea (and the author who wrote it, i believe it was Jules Verne?) envisioned/implanted the idea of the modern day submarine and spaceship also.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Blacklisted Americans who can't fly those ideas will land one in an internment camp in the near future, enjoy one's limited freedom of speech will it lasts. ;-)
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Blacklisted Americans who can't fly they are using this in 3 airports now (heard on radio today. Delta is using it)..so dont be surprised if you see an inquiry on your credit report just for buying a plane ticket in certain areas. looks like my FICO score will drop down even worse, my work makes me fly places all the time. also, I guess im a terrorist with my bad credit scores. EDIT: I see this is old news, but its damn scary that is appears to actually be happening..it seemed so ridiculous too when I heard it :/
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Blacklisted Americans who can't fly Well something is obviously going to have to be done about it if it lowers scores because there are plenty of people who have got big big bucks and jet around the country like the butterflies and if they start coming up with bad credit, ARs and pulled credit cards and credit turndowns because of it there is going to be hell to pay and might quick.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Blacklisted Americans who can't fly Bill/Everyone, you know as well as i do, that NOTHING will be done about this until the "powers that be" have achieved what they want. . . . those with the truly "big bucks" don't NEED their FICO( good or bad), so they won't be affected and could care less. At this point in time, the BEST thing people can do, is realize that these things are coming to pass(regardless of who complains or protests), and make LOGICAL ( not based on fear) decisions concerning what is necessary to do in order to ADAPT to the coming changes. IF one looks the inevitable in the eyes and makes the neccesary changes in their life WITHOUT being influenced with FEAR, SELFISHNESS, and APATHTY, their "inner voice" or "intution" will lead them to do the "correct" things. For the AVERAGE american, those with insight and actions based on clear thinking, not fear, can and will do and make the necessary decisions to live as well as they can during the coming changes. Those who stick their heads in the sand like ostricichs will STILL face the same fate, BUT will not have PREPARED themselves and their families and friends (who weren't too selfish and lazy to ignore the obvious), to live/exist within the 'new world order' without losing their entire freedom/liberty/total loss of rights from the govt.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Blacklisted Americans who can't fly How true. I've always been a fan of these wild stories about how the government-is-gonna-git-ya yarns. They are a source of almost constant humor if you accept them for what they are in most case. But every once in a while they turn out to be completely true so one does need to keep a wary eye out. But what you have said in your post which I have quoted is also completely true when dealing with one's credit problems as well.
Geez this is scary. Hubby has two US passports. One for travel all over the world, one if he goes into um certain Middle Eastern countries. This was all well within the approval of the US gov't. Theory is, if you go to Israel, Saudi Arabia may not let you in later, and vice versa. He's travelling overseas again soon...
