So I had an unpaid charge-off from citibank in late 98 or early 99 cant remember. The amount was close to $1000. The negative entry fell off my report completely all by itself, didnt even dispute it. Some time in 2002 it just went away. What do you think my chances of being blacklisted are? Should I even try to get a card from them while the reporting time limit is still not up?

From what I understand it does not matter if the charge-off has fallen off your CR. Citibank maintains an internal list. So do even try it.

This even extends to their Diner's Club product

I am having a fight with CitiBank right now on the same thing. So chances are you are on their blacklist.

And the kicker, the card that was allegedly c/o'ed that has me on their blacklist, wasn't a CitiBank card...

David Kinder managed to get a citibank card even though his situation was similar to yours...
