    Roni,

Why don't you wait for the after XMAS sale where everything is half price. Then go to BL and buy what you want. It's bound to be more than $300. Insist on a credit limit increase via the courtesy phone in the store.

I assume that you did not visit BL today to ask for an increase?

One thing I have learned the last year is that we are most likely to get the credit we want when we get personal with the lender.

    EXAMPLES:

BL - I am standing at the checkout register with a teen age girl and XMAS presents.

Nordstrom - I called and we discussed the BK policy. I applied on the telephone not on the internet. Got $2K card

The credit unions - I have written volumes on this topic.

Target - I refused to activate that $10K card until my apr. was dropped to 12.9%

Ford credit. - I got 2.9% as I was in ready to buy a new Explorer that moment. "No problem Mr. Jim - here are the keys".

BTW - I may be the only one who thinks that the total amount of credit cards you have is appropriate. Just let them age.

You are doing fine!! I remember a year ago when you were dealing with First Premier and a Cap One toy card. You and I have both come a long way.

    Best regards,

    Jim

    That's the spirit Roni!!

Just so that you know I now have...

    DRUMROLL PLEASE

    1 auto loan
    4 Retail cards
    1 LOC
    8 Visa/MC

14 total accounts. My credit report shows 3 additional accounts as open that were actually closed by me long ago. I haven't done anything about the 3 as they age my credit to my advantage.

Let me know when you catch up. LOL

I agree with Jim. You'll do fine with 14 accounts as soon as they all age.

If I remember correctly, you made a conscious decision to open a lot of new accounts to outweigh past derogatory items. It seems to be working. Until you actually get turned down for cards you want based on your number of accounts, you can afford to keep them all open. Enjoy your Bloomies card. The limit will reach $1000 sooner than anyone thinks.

Roni, and ask to have your credit limit reevaluated, I was initially approved for 800 then I ask to be bumped to 1000, could have gotten more but I decided against it.

    So give it a try!

    Cypri:)
