    Dogman & Everyone:

That's right, I applied for Blue online last night and got the message that their server was offline and unable to process at that time, but it gave me an app status page to check.

SO, I LOG IN THIS MORNING FOR STATUS AND:

    Oct 01, 2003

    BLUE FROM AMERICAN EXPRESS

    Approved

Congratulations! Your application has been approved and you should receive your new card within 7-10 days.

Thanks to all. Sorry for the delay in getting back to this thread...I have been sick the last few days.

Here is the low-down on what I got:

    APR: 7.9% FIXED!

    CL: $9K!

They pulled EQ and my score at the time was 733.

Hope this helps and I will be eagerly awaiting my card!!!

Really happy for you and Dogman.

Also thanks for posting your info as I know what kind of scores I need to get the cards I want.

I forgot, how many inqs do you have within that magical 6 month period?

    Best regards,
    Mirage

    Hey NiceGuy,

    CONGRATULATIONS !!!

You are gonna love it !!!

If you think $9000 limit is too small, call new accounts and ask them to increase it to $15000.
You won't have any problem in getting higher CL for the first 30 days after approval, and they won't pull you credit report. If you don't ask now then you have to wait for 6 months.

NiceGuy, I've lost tracked but how much CL did you pick up since the bk's fell off?

It's amazing that a month ago we were in sub-prime hell and now AMEX is giving you a 15k cl!

    Congrats!

Thanks everyone! In the past seven days, I have picked up $25,000 in prime credit lines with two cards: Blue and First TN Platinum Premier.

Not sure what to go for now but it seems like anything is there for the taking! I know I need to dump my Providian for sure, just a little cautious since it is a trade open since 1997.

    It is quite amazing!
