Well, I applied yesterday online. They pulled equifax in Atl, Ga. I got the "wait and see" message,called yesterday evening and told that it was still being worked on; i told them I really wanted the card so I could BT from MBNA{Motley Fool}{$6700}. CSR said she would do what she could to help, she said a manager had to manually review. Manager reviewed today and TURNED ME DOWN!! when I called today they gave me the news. I said could you tell me why I was denied. CSR said, too much utilization. I was @ 49%, too many inquires in 6 months..i said 3 are for AMEX, late payments{They were from SL's from 3 years ago. I said i really want this card, she looked at my report again, and said she would contact the manager who reviewed to have him re-review. Looked online a lil while ago and it said approved so I called them......$5000 CL, 0% apr on new purchases for 6 months, goto rate of 8.99%. BT are 5.99% for life of transfer. My fico is 638 , I have 3 other AMEX cards. Considering I was denied twice in 24 hours but kept buttering up to the CSRs{really helped}, I got approved. I hope all this info helps someno out there
