RE: Saar, Need you help Amex Consumer Retention is only open during normal business hours. Call Monday morning. Next time you call don't ask the CS Rep to do it. As soon as the Rep takes your call, tell them you want Consumer Retention. Tell them it is your right to speak with Leadership/ Retention, and don't take no for an answer. They really have no choice but to transfer you. Insist that they do. It seems the Reps are instructed to check your file, and if you're not pre-approved for the 9.9% rate, they have to do everything in their power to make you give up. Don't. It's an excellent card and if persistent enough, you'll get what you want. Saar
