Would you like to bluff the computerized phone calls some creditors make telling you to call them for an important message or computerized telemarketing calls?

Would you like to bluff their computers into thinking your phone has been disconnected?

You can do it very easily.

Radio Shack has brought out a new device that does just exactly that. If a computer calls your home it will send a code back to the computer that tells the calling computer that your phone has been disconnected and then the offending computer will automatically take your name off it's list and the creditor will probably never know that his computer is no longer bothering you.

He sits there fat, dumb and happy thinking he's still bothering the heck out of you and someday you will surely call him if for not other reason than to try to put a stop to it which isn't likely to happen.

    It's $50 at radio shack.
    Pretty neat.

I saw that today as well. Very interesting. I don't get many calls like that anymore so I did not run out and buy one. Maybe we should buy one as a group and pass it around for awhile.

check around your radio shack stores.
Oklahoma City has a fair supply. About 2 per store except the bigger mall stores who have a few more.

If your local store don't have one they will order it for you.

The gadget puts out a little beep when you pick up your phone and sends it out every time you pick up the phone. If there is a computer on the other end, it gets the message sent by the little gadget and won't call anymore.

It hits the computer generated sales messages you get all the time.
The literature says it won't affect bill collectors, but I bet that it will if there it's computer generated bill collector calling unless they don't have the ability to delete disconnected phone numbers out of their systems, and I'll bet most of the big ones do have.

So it should hit them too. Only time will tell
