I just got an updated copy of my Experian Credit report and noticed that Bank of America which I recently sent a letter requesting validation of an account they are reporting pulled my credit report 4 times in the month of April. The pulled 2 reports on 4/16/02 and 2 reports on 4/23/02. This may be due to the fact that 2 Bank of America accounts are being reported on my experian credit report. They both came back verified with the noted exception "Transfered/Sold". Can Bank of America pull my credit report's like this without my permission?? Why on god's earth would they?? Don't they know the information they are reporting? I am pretty pissed off, these are 4 inquiries without my permission. If I can sue I am gonna do so! I'll have to look over the FCRA again to pinpoint an exact violation.

    Thanks!

Are they hard or soft inquires? On the report if they are listed as requests viewed by others they are hard inquires.

In theory, if you have a account with them they can pull your credit any time they please but the inquires have to be soft inquires.
