Called BofA tonight and not only did I get a more than double your credit line but prime @4% BTs for term of the transfer and 7.9 % for purchases. Gotaa love them.
If you do a BT, DON'T use the card for purchases. They apply payments to the lowest interest rate first, so just keep the BT until paid, then use the card for purchases. I see some of them are now saying you have to make a certain number of purchases every year or quarter or something. I guess they don't like it that we won't purchase on a BT card.
Anyone have a good phone number to call for a CL increase. I heard customer service isn't the best number to call.
If you're just starting out with BofA, you have to wait 9 months. I called at 7 and asked for a CLI and that's what they told me. I called back after 9 and they granted me a $2500 CLI, no hard inq. That was calling directly to cust svc.
OK...I've been with them a year. I called CS last week and they told me they couldn't do a CL increase without my permission. Kinda strange. I'll call them again tomorrow.
I call the # on the back of the card & the rep said she could push one button if i wanted an increase without a hard & she did, but no increase & no hard.
